We'll be taking a breather for a few months to rest up for next year's Phoebus Days celebration, which is already scheduled for Saturday, October 10, 2009.

But before we close out this year's event, we want to express our thanks to those who made Phoebus Days in 2008 a great success:

The staff of Old Point Bank for its continued support, and especially Davena C. Andress, the Phoebus branch officer.

The City of Hampton, for all they do each year to make this event possible.

The musicians and performers - for adults and children alike - who gave freely of their time and talent.

The countless volunteers who willingly took on jobs large and small without complaint.

We are also happy to have hosted the second Peninsula Beer Festival, which continues to grow and is largely the result of Karen Hokansson's hard work.

Finally, we express our appreciation to our sponsors listed below.  Without them, Phoebus Days would not be possible.

Thank you all.

You are what makes Phoebus a special place.
