In memoriam: Kathy Gear Owens

A daughter of Phoebus, Kathy Gear Owens died February 19, 2011.

Kathy was fiercely proud and protective of Phoebus, and the kind of advocate that any community would have been happy to call one of its own.

A wife, mother and attorney, Kathy still found space in her busy life to volunteer her time and talents to numerous community organizations.

Included among groups were American Legion Post 48 and Phoebus Days, and we are thankful for her substantial efforts to improve our community and way of life.

There is little more to say except that we will remember the joy she brought to so many, amd we are grateful to those who have made contributions to Phoebus Days in her memory.

We will miss her.
